THE PROGRAMMING STREAMS
HQ main board- An evolved version of our former crossfit subzero programming that includes daily strength training with a varied and sensible conditioning piece. You will find fundamental lifts, squats, deadlifts, bench along with general strength builders like chin/pull ups, lunges, overhead pushing/pulling etc combined with the olympic lifts to form a strong and quickly adaptable athlete. Our conditioning segments incorporate varied duration, frequency and intensities to produce a perpetual state of readiness in our members which allows them to easily accept challenges in their own lives from running a 5k, full day hikes or flag football. Some training experience, whether previously at our facility or elsewhere, is required before taking on the main board stream.
Legends/Light- The legends/light programming is a scaled and modified version of our main board stream. you will still find many of the same fundamental movements and workouts that are found on the main board but in more manageable numbers and sequencing to keep things simple and safe and at all levels of intensity, frequency and duration that are inline with the beginner’s skill set.
General fitness- The general fitness stream is our newest addition to the Sled Dog programming family but we apply the same concepts that have lead to the successes we’ve had since 2010 with our functional programming. The strength is based around barbell and dumbbell movements and incorporates power lifting, some olympic lifting, traditional strength and some bodybuilding movements to produce a strong, functional and aesthetically pleasing physique. conditioning workouts are less frequent then the other streams and the movements are simplified and easier to perform which allows the athletes to work at the intensities required to accomplish their goals.

PERSONAL TRAINING
Sled Dog also offers world class one on one and small group training with Sled Dog coach Bobby Kwasny (you can read up on Bobbys journey in fitness “here” ). Each session is 45-55 minutes long and normally cover a warm up, dynamic stretch, a few rounds of core, 15-25 minutes of strength and then 5-25 minutes of conditioning. One on one sessions are tapered and programmed for the clients goals and their specific physical state and the sessions also serve as educational time so clients have the confidence to train at HQ on their own which allows them to extend the life of their personal training packages or transition completely to one of our programming streams.

ONLINE COACHING AND NUTRITION
Programming- if you are already a member at another gym and you would like a sled dog program for your facility, we can do that too. provide us with information about you (state of health goals etc) and your gym and we will apply all the concepts we use at HQ to give you the best and most efficient workout plan possible.
Nutritional coaching- The sled dog nutritional system is built around eating balanced amounts of whole healthy foods and positioning your meals in your day to optimize recovery. We have you fill out our simple questionary that includes 2 days of food logs and then within 72 hours we will send you back a set of guidelines specific to your goals, brief critiques of your logs with possible substitutes and a sample day that will include basic instructions how to integrate other of your favourite food choices. You then send us either daily, twice weekly or weekly food logs and we send back feedback on where you went right and where you can improve. Log submission frequency will depend on what’s best for the athlete, some athletes respond best to daily log checks while once a week works best for many others.
